2012 January The annual meeting was held at noon on Sunday, January 8 at "Pizzatullo's" restaurant, with thirteen members attending. The racing schedule for 2012 was discussed and approved. The schedule is very similar to last year's except that we have added a "Pre-season Practice Day" to get the season started in early March. The combined EC12 / S1M day, the match racing day, and the FYBO regatta will be repeated in 2012. These, together with the regular Sunday races, are all shown on the Calendar page. The Chester Springs club will be holding a combined event for S1M's and EC12's on Saturday, October 6 to which we are all invited. Stay tuned for more information on that. On a sad note, our long-time Secretary / Treasurer Ed Chappell passed away on Sunday, January 8. He was 64 years old. 2011 December The Freeze Your Butt Off Regatta (FYBOR) was held on December 4. We had a very successful day of EC12 racing, with twelve skippers attending. In contrast to last years event, which was cancelled due to ice on the pond, we had good weather with temps in the 50's. Click here for Nick Mortgu's regatta report. November Congratulations to Dave Brawner. He is the new National Champion of the EC12 Class. Dave beat a field of 34 skippers in Charleston, SC on November 2 to 5. This achievement makes Dave a two-time National Champion. "Pizzatullo's" restaurant. The racing schedule for 2011 was discussed in detail. Several changes were approved by the members. An event was added for Soling One Meter boats. The club racing on Sunday May 22nd will be for EC12s in the morning and Soling 1Ms in the afternoon. The September 18th Race Day will be for EC12 match racing. And we will try again for the FYBO regatta on December 4th. These, together with the regular Sunday races, are all shown on the Calendar page
