April
The 38th annual Liberty Bell regatta was held on the
weekend of April 17, 18. Thirteen skippers competed in the unusually windy event,
with Dave Brawner running the show as RD and Ivor Walton assisting. Danny Thomas
took first place with MAMYC members in the following positions ... Harry Mote (2), Mark
Rinehart (3), Bill Ewing (6), George Wiegand (13). See the "Race

The "Shamrock" Regatta for RC Lasers was
completed on Saturday, March 27 with 14 skippers competing. The race committee was
headed by Dave Brawner and included Harry Mote, Joe Cole and Ivor Walton. At the end
of the day, after sailing twelve races, the first three finishing positions were Ryan
Lippincott, James Betts and Rob Seidelman. Only three points separated these three

On Saturday, March 27, MAMYC will be hosting a one-day regatta for RC
Lasers. This event has been organized by Dave Brawner who will also be the Race
Director. There will be 15 to 20 Lasers participating from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM
and it should be an exciting day of racing with a class of boat that we don't usually see
at Mt. Laurel. So come on over to the lake and check it out, and if you want to help
Dave that's fine too.
Also, don't forget that the following day, Sunday March 28, is opening
day for EC12 club racing at Mt Laurel. Some of the Lasers may be joining us as well.
January
The annual club meeting will be held at 12:00 on January 10 at
"Pizzatullo's" restaurant which is on Church Street about 3/4 mile North of the
lake. We will be eating lunch, giving out trophies for 2009, reviewing the schedule
for 2010 and discussing any other topics of interest.

Dave Brawner won the Green Mountain EC12 regatta that was held in Stowe,
Vermont on June 6, 7. Other MAMYC members who sailed in the event were Ivor Walton
(4) and Jack Kendra (11). Complete results are on the EC12 web site.

Seven club members entered the club's annual Liberty Bell regatta in April.
This was the 37th year for the event. The RD was Dave Brawner assisted by Harry
Mote and Ivor Walton. Member finishes were ... Mark Rinehart (2), Jack Kendra (3),
Bob Kjellberg (7), Scott Todd (9), Joe Cole (10), Bill Ewing (11) and Mike Denest (15).
