Colonial Cup
The Mid-Atlantic Model Yacht Club sponsors a special trophy, the
Colonial Cup, for the EC12 Class. In 2010 a series of four regattas will be held in
Region 2. For each captain, the scores from these regattas will be totalled to
determine the Colonial Cup winner. Points are awarded to the race committee staff as
well as to competing skippers. The top five scores qualify for the Champions
Regatta.
The MAMYC scorekeeper will keep track of the scores from each event and
maintain a running total that will be posted at each regatta. The purpose of the Colonial
Cup is to increase attendance at regattas without penalizing the RD’s and staff
members who make our hobby possible.

Champions Regatta
Skippers in the top five (5) finishing positions in the Colonial Cup,
the Florida Cup and the Dixie Cup will qualify to attend the Champions Regatta in
Charleston, SC in early 2011. The date of the regatta is TBD. Go to 2010 Champions Regatta for current standings.
